For these reasons, we have adopted the following privacy practices to provide our valued insured an understanding of the procedures we follow to protect your personal information.
We will collect information about you from the following sources:
Information we receive from you on applications and other documents; and Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.
Heartland Mutual has established internal procedures to ensure an insured’s personal information is accurate and complete within reasonable industry standards. We will respond to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.
Heartland Mutual will limit employee access to personal information to those who need to know that information in order to provide insurance to you. We will also educate our employees so they understand the importance of insureds’ privacy and confidentiality.
Heartland Mutual will maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal and state guidelines in order to protect your personal information.
At Heartland Mutual, we will not disclose any personal information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law.
Heartland Mutual Insurance Company may, from time to time, modify this Privacy Protection Pledge to reflect legal, technological and other developments. In that event, the changes will appear in a revised edition of this notice accompanying your policy renewal, as well as on the Heartland Mutual website.
